This is a genuinely rare event to hear this repertoire performed. There was only one performance of this project at Joe's Pub at the time of the original release in 2002 with a seven piece band (read about it here). This evening's performance will include new arrangements for this unique collection of players (four of whom performed on the original recording) of at least five of the original songs from the publication below. Also included is one or two tunes from Lisa's repertoire arranged by myself and a few of my new songs, actually covers from very old songs that I sing and will arrange for this group.

Like the first set of this evening. Appearances by this quintet in NY are also very rare. This is my current "working quintet". We toured 12 concerts in 12 days in Europe in 2012 and as well appeared at the 2012 Willisau and Saalfelden festivals. The CD below is unfortunately out of print (another tragedy of distribution, it went out of print in less than a year !) only available as a download. Better is to hear this amazing group live.
